Moringa prices in South Africa are usually quoted per jar, per pack or per bottle, which makes brands hard to compare: a R199 pack and a R499 jar can cost almost exactly the same per serving. This page shows the arithmetic in the open, using our own range as the worked example. How to compare any moringa brand fairly
Use the same three steps on any label, including ours:
- Find the serving the label actually states. Not the pack size — the amount per tablet, capsule, scoop or measure printed in the directions.
- Divide the price by the number of servings. A 100g pack with 5g servings is 20 servings; at R150 that is R7.50 per serving even though the pack looks cheap.
- Check what the serving contains. A 500mg tablet and a 350mg capsule are not the same serving. For liquids, check the ingredient list: plain pressed juice and a formulated concentrate (ours is 93% moringa leaf juice with a sweetener and preservatives, listed in full on the product page) are different products and should be compared honestly.
Why our numbers are on every product page
We grow, harvest, process and pack our moringa ourselves in Mookgopong, Limpopo, and we sell it direct — there is no wholesaler or importer margin between the field and your order. Because the per-serving cost is computed live from the current price, it can never quietly drift out of date the way a marketing claim can. If a price changes, the arithmetic changes with it, on the page, the same minute.
Common questions about moringa pricing
How much does moringa cost in South Africa?
It depends far more on the serving than on the shelf price. Across our own range a serving works out between R1.20 and R4.99 — tablets are R1.50 each in a single jar and R1.20 in a four-jar pack, the 1 L concentrate is R4.00 per 5 ml serving, and the 250 g powder is R3.98 per 5 g serving. A R199 pack and a R499 bottle can cost almost the same per serving, which is why the pack price on its own tells you very little.
Why do moringa prices vary so much between brands?
Because pack sizes and serving sizes are not standardised. Two products can carry the same plant name while differing in the part of the plant used, how it was processed, what else was added, and how much you actually get per serving. Until you divide the price by the number of servings the label states, you are not comparing like with like.
How do I compare two moringa products fairly?

On our range it does. The 1 L concentrate is R4.00 a serving against R4.99 for the 500 ml, and four litres brings it down to R3.37. The multi-packs work the same way: four jars of tablets take the cost from R1.50 to R1.20 per tablet, and four packs of powder from R3.98 to R3.20 per serving. That is a fact about our pricing, not a rule about the category — check the arithmetic rather than assuming it.
